Detoxing after Ladies Day!

We all like to have fun and at Pioneer Fitness, we’re all about the healthy balance. The Aintree Races is one of the times where most of us in Liverpool like to spend the upcoming days getting pampered, and then at the races all of our healthy hard work goes out of the window – and that’s fine (every once in a while). It’s important that after you’ve had your indulgence, you jump straight back on the wagon and train HARD. 

Thinking about detoxing? Here are some great reasons why a detox would be perfect if you’ve over-indulged at the races this weekend.

Long-term exposure to toxins (environmental pollutants, cancer-causing chemicals, preservatives, pesticides, heavy metals, and industrial waste) affects our metabolism, behavior, immune system, and leads to disease. Our digestive, nervous, and hormonal systems were designed to work together to achieve optimum health. This is what our bodies want to do! When we overload them with toxins and unhealthy foods, these systems don’t work as well as they should and we get sick.
