It goes without saying that everybody knows that exercise has a positive effect on the body, mind and soul… But do you know just how good it really is and what all of the benefits are? Exercise helps all parts of our lives, from improving your mood, to your sex life! If you want to feel better, live longer and have less stress in your life, then you should definitely consider physical activity and getting on down to the gym. There really is no excuse… even income. There are plenty of ways that you can exercise without having to actually join a gym. Need convincing on some of the positives? Here we go…
No. 1 – Controls your weight
Of course, exercise can help to prevent gain any extra weight and can also help to you lose any excess weight as well. Exercise allows you to burn calories, which means the food and drink that you’re eating. The more intense and prolonged the activity, the more that you’re going to burn!

No matter what your current weight, being active boosts high-density lipoprotein, or good cholesterol and decreases unhealthy triglycerides. This one-two punch keeps your blood flowing smoothly, which decreases your risk of cardiovascular diseases. In fact, regular physical activity can help you to prevent or manage a wide range of health problems and concerns, including stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, and certain types of cancer, arthritis and falls.

If you’re feeling a bit down in the dumps or in need of an emotional lift, then exercise will be sure to do the trick. A long day at work, or problems in your personal life can bring on lots of unwanted stress and can start to get you down, which isn’t what you want. Keep your exercise levels up with a run or walk to brush off the cobwebs and get rid of the bad mood. Exercising will help to keep you happier and more relaxed. Not only does it have a great emotional effect, but you’ll feel happier as well because you’ll notice your appearance getting better too, which will of course improve your self-esteem!

Regular exercise will leave you more energized and also more self-confident, which should have a positive effect on your sex life. Gone are the days where you were feeling too tired or out of shape to enjoy intimacy, because now you’ll have started to feel great. Exercise is also great in the sex department, because for men it means that you’re less likely to duffer with any erectile dysfunction and for women it can lead to enhanced arousal; it’s a win win!

Exercise doesn’t have to be a daunting or boring task, and it can in fact actually be a fun way to spend time and even make a hobby out of.
